About Company Merchandise and Corporate Orders
Dear Corporates,
Sorry, I am not going to sugar coat this. Don’t be boring. Don’t just print your logo on a t-shirt or mug and then give it to your people. It’s run-of-the-mill and the opposite of exciting.
If you really want to delight your employees with your company merchandise, think a little. This costs nothing.
Which city are you based in? What does your company stand for? What is the organisation’s USP? What is the company’s mission and vision?
What do you really want your employees to feel when they receive your organisation’s merchandise?
It’s your outlook here that matters. Whether you’re the CEO or Director, Admin-in-charge or a HR manager, you could benefit from making merchandise for your people, that stands out.
Examples – The Madras Catering College Alumni once made mugs that had their logo printed on one side and a relevant Chennaigaga design printed on the other. They wanted their memorabilia to be special.
To be clear, we are not calling your company logo boring or mundane. We are saying that simply printing only your company logo has been done and dusted way too much. We are asking you to infuse a breath of fresh air in to your regular merchandise requirement.
Another example: The American Consulate, Chennai, once printed their theme of the year on the front of tshirts and used a Chennaigaga design on the back, to differentiate themselves for this endeavour whilst also choosing an artwork that best described Chennai as a whole.
We are not asking you to only use a Chennaigaga design. We are asking you to consider combining your company’s logo with another expression that would add a unique or ‘delight’ quotient. However, if you are a company based in Chennai or one that has a compelling Chennai presence, it wouldn’t hurt for you to add a Chennaigaga design to your existing logo representations, to enhance your own branding.
The German Consulate, Chennai once approached us for a collaboration in connection with a local sporting event that piqued their interest. That was a unique experience which brought out a feel-good vibe all around. A win-win situation, indeed!
Barclays Bank had a big celebration and being based in Chennai, they asked us for a bulk quantity of t-shirts across some of our designs carefully curated by them.
These are examples of the decision makers of company merchandise who go the extra mile to delight their people.
Sounds good?
Let me know if I can help – together, we will work with your merch budget and uplift this entire experience for your enterprise!
Yours truly,
Sujata Tarakesan.
