Lighting up an evening in lighter vein at Chennai

Madras Day has evolved into Madras Week and that has now become Madras Month! As the city celebrated its birthday and various organisations brought out their individual endeavours to celebrate Namma Chennai, proud Chennaiites got to pick and choose events that took place across the city, and revelled in the celebrations.

The Hindu Made of Chennai is one such endeavour and they, in collaboration with Madras Boat Club, hosted a fun evening with a stand up show for the members of Boat Club recently. Vikkals of Vikram as he’s popularly known, and Badava Gopi, lit up the night, bringing laughs, chuckles, claps and appreciation from the audience. Daily life in Chennai, typical family day-to-day happenings, the woes of young adulthood, and Madras Baashai, were some of the topics served up by the entertainers. Badava Gopi also did some incredible mimicry and enthralled all age groups seated there.
