Madras Day, Madras Week, Madras Month, and more!

Chennaigaga was founded in 2010 just to address the gap in the souvenirs sector of Namma Chennai! Where did you go for Chennai themed merchandise before Chennaigaga? Well, to emporiums, handicraft exhibitions and other assorted stores in search of gifts and merch in a quest to fulfil that Chennai pride. Don’t get us wrong, there are many ways to express a city, its body and soul.
Speaking of soul, that’s really what Chennaigaga is. It’s an endeavour to embody Chennai’s soul through expressions of art and words on T-shirts, magnets and other products like coasters, mousepads, mugs, etc. 
We celebrate Chennai not just during Madras Week, or Madras Month and certainly not for just one single day, (Madras Day is on August 22nd) but all 365 days a year. We have been doing this for over 5600 days and counting! 
Some folks might think thus, “oh, but what is there to  celebrate Chennai for so long? It comes back to the same old same old.” 
To those folks we say respectfully and with understanding, “oh sorry, then this brand is not for you.” 
Don’t get us wrong. We are here to serve up Chennai now and Madras then, to you through delightful recalls, highlighting the city and its people’s quirks. We are a niche brand. Happily all about Chennai and by extension, Thamizh language and the state of Tamilnadu.
We are proudly Indian, fiercely Tamil, and joyously, pure Chennaities.  
We indulge in nostalgic memories of Madras, and contemporary celebrations of Chennai.
